MuirMcNeil Sans Soft is a sans serif type system developed from MuirMcNeil Sans Sans, a ‘neutral’ type family in which the characters of the Latin alphabet are distilled into a system of variable components intended for extensive reconfiguration. Sans Soft largely retains the same underlying skeleton but transforms its character through the consistent rounding of terminals. This softening of the component forms gives the typeface a more relaxed and affable impression, while maintaining the structural clarity and systematic logic of its source.

Sans Soft is an economical, versatile and distinctive type system: a coherent design in upright and italic styles, each in 13 matching weights. Its rounded forms introduce warmth and softness without compromising the consistency, flexibility and extensive range of the underlying typographic system.
