Cut Square is a straight-edged variant of MuirMcNeil Cut, a stencil type family based on the forms of neoclassical typefaces produced in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
Diode is the second modular geometric type system produced by MuirMcNeil in collaboration with Natasha Lucas. The Diode project is a further product of visual experiments examining the interdependence of positive and negative spaces in typographic form, first explored by Lucas in her Bisect typeface system published by MMcN in 2018.

Interlock is a geometric bitmap type system in four variant styles, each in six weights. MuirMcNeil’s Interlock typefaces are designed to interact in layers with one another and with corresponding sets of rectangular background grids.
TwoBar Mono is a monolinear, monospaced type system in nine weights. A robust and efficient typeface for text and display applications, TwoBar Mono is also compatible with MuirMcNeil’s TwoPoint, TwoPlus and TwoBit type families.
Pentagram’s Eddie Opara has developed a dynamic typographic setting for the manifesto of Lululemon, the activewear and lifestyle brand. Used in a range of applications from apparel to environmental graphics, the manifesto features a variety of contemporary typefaces including MuirMcNeil Cut.
A large number of MuirMcNeil typefaces are featured in Peter Dawson’s Type Directory (Thames & Hudson), a comprehensive sourcebook published in 2019 that details and classifies over 1,800 historical and contemporary typefaces.

Andy Campbell talks to Creative Review about staging the Share exhibition
MuirMcNeil will be lecturing at Elisva, Barcelona on 20 November 2019, and delivering a keynote at 10ET Matoshinos (Porto) on November 22. Both talks will focus on MMcN’s systematic and algorithmic approaches to typographic form generation, in both type design and applied typography.
